This is a 209-bed teaching hospital servicing more than 1 million square kilometres across Central Australia and the Barkly region. It is affiliated with Flinders University and Charles Darwin University, and works closely with Tennant Creek Hospital, regional clinics, and major tertiary centres in Adelaide.Paediatrics:
- 30-bed dedicated paediatric ward
- 8-bed neonatal unit caring for infants
1500g * Outreach clinics and developmental paediatrics services
- Current team: 7 consultants, 7 registrars (ward), 2 registrars (community/outreach)
As a Specialist or Senior Specialist, you will:
- Deliver high-quality neonatal and paediatric inpatient care
- Lead outpatient and remote community clinics
- Supervise and teach junior doctors and medical students
- Engage in service development, quality improvement and research
- Fellowship with RACP (Paediatrics) or equivalent
- Eligibility for registration with AHPRA
- Strong teamwork and leadership skills
- Flexibility to adapt to diverse clinical needs
- A genuine passion for rural and Indigenous child health
