Isavend is Mount Isa’s leading vending machine operator, providing reliable, tech-enabled convenience across mine sites and businesses in the region. With over 250,000 items sold in the past year, we’re a growing, hands-on business known for smart logistics, consistent service, and a wide product range.We’re now seeking a capable and driven Operations Manager to lead our local team, oversee daily operations, and support our continued growth in the unattended retail space.Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day vending operations across multiple sites in Mount Isa
- Supervise and support 1-2 vending machine fillers, including stepping into the role when required
- Oversee inventory, restocking schedules, and warehouse logistics
- Monitor sales data and machine performance to optimize operations
- Generate and manage operational and performance reports
- Identify and implement new technologies to improve efficiency and service
- Perform and coordinate basic maintenance on vending machines
- Ensure uptime and reliability of equipment
- Liaise with site contacts to maintain service standards and resolve issues

- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Effective communication and relationship-building abilities
- Technically savvy with a drive to implement new tools and systems
- A proactive approach to solving problems and meeting customer needs
- Comfortable performing basic maintenance and using hand tools
- Physically fit and capable of lifting stock and product cases (up to 16kg)
- Prior experience in logistics, maintenance, or retail operations is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to work on the Mount Isa Mines lease (must meet site entry requirements)
- Open driver’s license (auto is fine)
- Full Australian working rights
- Competitive salary of $85,000 p.a. + super
