Job DescriptionThe RolePenleigh and Essendon Grammar School is seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher of contemporary and jazz piano to join our vibrant and supportive music community. As an Instrumental Music Teacher, you will provide individual lessons and assist with the stage band, teaching students from Year 7 to Year 12 and fostering their musical growth and development.This is an ongoing part-time position (approximately 0.2 FTE) and commences from Term 1 of the 2026 school year. The position is based at our Keilor East campus, and the required working day is Monday.If you're enthusiastic about music education and enjoy working in a collaborative school environment, we'd love to hear from you.The successful candidate will demonstrate the following: - Relevant qualifications and experience in teaching Contemporary/Jazz Piano
- Ability to engage and inspire students in individual instrumental lessons and ensembles
- Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff
- Support for a culture of thinking, student care, and wellbeing
- Support for the school's music events and activities
