MAYDAY is excited to partner with a leader in Motor Claims Management to recruit an experienced Recoveries and Investigations Consultant for their office in Parramatta.We are looking for a motivated professional to manage a diverse portfolio of recoveries while maintaining strong internal and external relationships.Join a highly respected organisation focused on delivering quality claims outcomes and exceptional customer service.   • Accrual annual leave and sick leave
  • $90,000 + super, pro rata
  • Monday – Friday full-time hours between 8:30am – 5pm
Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain relationships with external recovery agents, internal stakeholders, senior leadership, claims teams, and customers
  • Respond to enquiries and complaints promptly, professionally, and with effective resolution
  • Handle recoveries and investigations in line with internal service standards
  • Deliver a high level of customer service to all stakeholders, including service providers
  • Act as a technical referral point for complex matters, including denials, legal statements and external dispute cases
  • Support initiatives focused on third-party loss cost control
Portfolio Management:
  • Determine recoverable motor claims at first notification
  • Set accurate recovery estimates and ensure timely adjustments
  • Action incoming correspondence within three business days
  • Maintain daily file notes and update action diaries accordingly
  • Ensure all third-party interactions align with internal recovery procedures
  • Resolve liability and disputes with third parties and insurers
  • Provide regular updates to brokers and clients throughout recovery
  • Recover accurate amounts from at-fault third parties or their insurers
  • Address customer vulnerability and financial hardship in line with policy
  • Manage complaints within defined frameworks
  • Adhere to authority limits and escalate matters when necessary
  • Ensure laws, regulations and company standards and procedures are adhered to at all times
The ideal candidate:
  • Proven experience in recoveries within general insurance (motor insurance preferred)
  • Be familiar with insurance laws and regulations
  • Sound knowledge of recovery practices and claims processes
  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing to broader team outcomes
  • Clear and effective communication, both written and verbal
