Our Mission is to promote the dignity, life and spirituality of older people through connected and inclusive communities.This is a unique opportunity for you to combine your passion for wellness – Mind, Body & Soul with your organisational, sales, customer service and administrative skills.Reporting to the Health and Wellness Business Manager, you will be responsible for developing, coordinating and growing the health and wellness programs in Dubbo. This is a friendly, vibrant environment where older people living in the community will come to participate in programs to improve their overall health, wellbeing and quality of life.Your bright, engaging and fun loving nature will aid your success!Day to day this role looks like:
  • Be the face and ‘advocate’ of the Health and Wellness programs
  • Promote, administer and co-ordinate a range of health, wellness and social programs for older people living in the community
  • Create and maintain a welcoming vibrant environment, actively engaging members of the local community to participate in programs to improve their health and wellbeing
  • Ongoing coordination and management of the program calendars of events
  • Coordination of staff and volunteers to facilitate the weekly programs
  • Onboarding and administration of clients into requested programs and ongoing management of client records
  • Local area promotion and networking to increase membership numbers
To be successful in this role you’ll need:
  • Qualifications in Allied Health, Health Promotion, Leisure and Lifestyle, or similar desirable but not required
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to improving the health, wellbeing and quality of life of older people living in the community
  • Enthusiasm for working with older people, their families, carers and advocates to help identify and manage goals and plans to improve their health and wellbeing
  • Demonstrated ability to promote and coordinate programs, set timetables and develop program calendars
  • Proficiency in computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel and Client records system (e.g. Procura or Client Management Systems).
  • Experience in, or interest in working within aged care
  • Current Drivers Licence and registered and insured motor vehicle.
  • Must be able to provide evidence of Covid 19 Immunisation
