- Lead the development and implementation of strategic business plans and sales and marketing plans and drive business development for Wilmar's product and service offering.
- Maintain and report up to date knowledge market intelligence by researching, investigating, analysing and summarising competitor activity and share, customer requirements and market trends.
- Develop and implement effective marketing and promotional activities and produce high quality product information to deepen customer understanding of Wilmar's brand and value proposition.
- Implement channel specific strategic sales and marketing plans and pricing strategies to achieve corporate objectives and sales and profitability targets.
- Provide visible leadership to establish and maintain a professional sales and marketing approach from the team and ensure appropriate performance monitoring and reporting systems are in place to drive accountability and outcomes.
- Develop business plans, sales and profit targets in conjunction with the General Manager Commercial and manage expenditure and revenue to achieve or exceed budget targets.
- Analyse actual and forecast expenditure, revenues, margins and other key performance metrics against budgets.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in either Agriculture Science, Engineering, Marketing, Science or other related discipline
- Minimum 10 years' experience in a senior sales and marketing leadership position in an agricultural or related industry
- Management experience leading sales or marketing teams
- Experience at successfully managing a P&L
- An ability to leverage relationships, an innovative approach, and a "can do" attitude
- Fertiliser, agro-chemical, animal nutrition or agriculture industry experience (would be desirable)
