Support the achievement of business reliability objectives through the development of asset management strategies and initiatives aligned with corporate KPIs.
Provide expert advice on maintenance and continuous improvement of network assets, ensuring safety, reliability, and quality of power supply within approved budgets.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement analytical methods to assess system and asset class performance, identifying opportunities to enhance system reliability.
- Review system reliability performance and identify pragmatic, short-term improvement opportunities.
- Lead the development of reliability-driven strategies to manage asset performance, contributing to holistic Asset Management Plans covering generation, distribution, transmission, and secondary assets.
- Establish repeatable protocols for ongoing review and enhancement of system reliability.
- Promote long-term strategic programs aimed at increasing asset efficiency, aligned with planning objectives.
- Implement processes and reporting tools to facilitate data-driven decision making for system reliability.
- Advise on operational practices that ensure assets operate safely and efficiently, delivering reliability and economic benefits within budget.
- Engage and manage contractors and consultants as required, providing reliable engineering support.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with suitable professional qualifications.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in operations, maintenance, or consulting within the power utility or related sectors.
- Well-developed communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Strong understanding of asset performance criteria, assessment, and modern data analysis tools.
- Experience in power system asset management, maintenance, operational strategies, and planning practices.
- Industry memberships or qualifications in asset management, reliability, or maintenance.
- Experience in reliability functions within power utilities or maintenance engineering.
