This pivotal role requires strong moral purpose and an unrelentless commitment to put positive student outcomes at the heart of all decision making. At Allendale PS, students are at the centre of everything we do.The successful applicant will be responsible for leading a culture of high expectations and managing the student services portfolio, including the organisation of complex student case management. In this role, they will support both teachers and allied professionals to reflect on their practice and identify areas where performance could be improved. Effective collaboration and communication with the Lead Education Assistants and APS student services team are essential skills.As Deputy Principal, you will use the Multi-tiered System of Supports (MTSS) model to manage student wellbeing, social emotional learning and behaviour support. You will be required to engage with parents, carers and external services to develop individual student plans that meet them at their point of need. As an instructional leader, you will regularly use data to analyse the impact of whole school approaches and make the necessary adjustments using a considered change management structure.A deep understanding of the science of learning, including experience with explicit and direct instruction programs such as Spelling Mastery, UFLI and Prime Mathematics would be highly regarded in this process.Professional BenefitsWorking for the Department of Education comes with a wide range of benefits designed to support both your professional and personal well-being.
