Please note: Our internal Talent Acquisition team has got this covered, we're not open to using an agency for this role.Job DescriptionAbout the opportunity..As a Platform Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting and enhancing the infrastructure and deployment experience across ELMO's technology platform, contributing to our mission to serve over one million end users with exceptional reliability and performance. Your core responsibilities will include:
  • Understanding and supporting ELMO's infrastructure needs, utilizing cloud and automation knowledge to contribute to strategic planning and implementation for our multi-region platform serving Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.
  • Contributing to infrastructure automation projects, working with senior team members to translate business requirements and technical needs into robust, scalable cloud solutions and well-defined deployment pipelines.
  • Implementing platform engineering best practices, working with Infrastructure as Code, managing CI/CD pipelines, and supporting seamless deployments to ensure efficient and reliable service delivery.
  • Collaborating effectively with engineering teams, client services teams, and key stakeholders to maintain exceptional platform reliability and performance.
  • Supporting system security, compliance, and integration across our ISO-certified platform, from infrastructure implementation to production monitoring and incident response.
  • Contributing to ELMO's commitment to data security and privacy, helping maintain our ISO 27001:2022 certification standards and supporting preparation for ISO 42001:2023 certification as we advance our AI capabilities.
Desired Skills and ExperienceDesired Skills and Experience
  • 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer or equivalent. SaaS environment experience preferred.
  • Solid Kubernetes experience in production environments, including deploying applications and cluster management. EKS (Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service) experience is highly regarded
  • Experience working with infrastructure solutions on AWS and Kubernetes for scalable and secure production environments
  • Working knowledge of CNCF ecosystem tools including Prometheus for monitoring, Flux for GitOps, and other cloud-native technologies
  • Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform and/or Pulumi for managing cloud resources and deployments
  • Python programming skills for automation, tooling, and infrastructure management
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline implementation and automation (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI)
  • SRE mindset with experience working with observability tools, preferably the Elastic Stack
  • Good technical communication and documentation skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving approach with experience in production systems
  • Proactive attitude toward identifying infrastructure issues and implementing solutions
  • Experience in a B2B SaaS environment, with multi-tenant architecture or HR technology platforms desirable
  • Understanding of security best practices and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001)
  • Experience working in Linux-based systems and implementing networking concepts in AWS
