About Our Role

Permanent full-time position
Ulverstone based
Mon-Fri day shift only (with seasonal OT required)
Base rate of $32.46 p/h with annual increase + penalties + OT where applicable

A permanent, full-time opportunity exists for a highly motivated Ag Services Operator to join Simplot's Raw Procurement team at our Ulverstone based, potato focused operations. Our Raw Procurement group comprises of farming and harvesting operations to support our annual sourcing of 450,000 tonnes of potatoes and vegetables in addition to leading innovative R&D activities throughout Australia and beyond.Reporting to the Raw Planner Scheduler this role will work a Monday to Friday (0645 - 1515hrs) roster with seasonal OT required during intake / harvest season.What You Will DoWorking within a busy, hands-on operational environment - the Ag Services Operator duties will include (but are not limited to);

Safely guide / marshall fully loaded truck & trailers into the relevant intake & storage areas
Conduct weighbridge operations of raw materials with accurate recording of data - both electronic & hard copy
Set up, operate, and movement of unloading equipment e.g. multi-stage conveyors
Forklift operations
Take part in, and contribute to, site safety & continuous improvement activities
Quality inspections of incoming raw material
Use of handheld radio comms

About You

Possess a 100% commitment to safety, health & wellbeing in the workplace
Prior experience in bulk materials intake within a busy yard or transport depot will be advantageous
Hold an eye for detail
Hold a high degree of motivation with a willingness to learn new skill sets
Possess positive communication skills with a strong written & verbal skillset
Forkilift licenced with demonstrated skillset
Competent in the use of Windows based PC systems (incl. Microsoft Office suite e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook etc).
Be physically fit with the ability to work on your feet for long periods (including within inclement weather)
Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical assessment incl. of urine based drug & alcohol screening
