Job Category: Technology EngineeringJob Description:Empower your future with innovation - join Westpac as a Senior Engineer.This is a permanent full-time opportunity, with hybrid working flexibility available.What's the role?We are seeking a Senior Engineer with experience in OBP, this role will focus on providing advanced solution design and technical leadership expertise in delivering solutions for Loan originations and Secured/Unsecured Lending projects. This team is involved in some exciting projects predominantly aimed at enhancing features for our Digital, Lender, and Broker Channels. You will be leading the analysis, design and development of 'fit for purpose' IT and business solutions to meet the diverse requirements across the Banking Platforms portfolio.Your role will involve:

Reviewing and evaluating of system designs to ensure the appropriate selection of technology and contribute to policies regarding architecture component selection
Impact analysis and risk management on major design options, managing associated risks to ensure system designs meet functional requirements
Lead and supervise other team members
Provide strong technical leadership to develop functional and technical solutions aimed at delivering reliable and stable applications that fulfil business requirements
Offer proactive feedback on complex engineering outcomes, contributing to the specification and design of large systems.

What do I need?To be successful in this position you should be well versed in Oracle Banking Platform and have knowledge of Oracle Banking APIs and frameworks for integration and customisation. Proficiency in JAVA, J2EE, Oracle BPM, OBP Host, Oracle Service Bus (OSB), REST API, Microservices, and Kafka, is going to set you up for success in this role and you should have prior, hands-on experience in people leadership and team mentoring.Your skills and expertise should ideally include:

Familiarity with Oracle ADF, SOA and WebLogic Server
Proficient with Apache Tomcat, Oracle 12c or other SQL databases
Experience with web services : WSDL, SOAP, XSD, XML, JSON/YAML
Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
Skills in issue root cause analysis using tools like Splunk, SQL Developer, and AppDynamics
