About the role:
An opportunity exists for an experienced OTR Tyre Fitter with a strong safety focus to join our Wilpinjong Mine. Our Wilpinjong mine is an open-cut mine located 58 kilometres northeast of Mudgee producing a high quality thermal coal for export and domestic markets.You will be part of a dynamic team contributing to the successful performance of the mine along with the following duties:

Mechanical maintenance and tyre repairs on light, medium and heavy vehicles performed in a safe and productive manner;
Tread depth measurements, pressure readings and inspections on all heavy earthmoving Mobile Equipment;
Actively participate in effective shift change over's and shift Pre-Starts;
Complete a detailed written hand over at the end of each shift;
Be an active participant in the Continuous Improvement Program;
Conduct site hazard reports;
Minimise production downtime in the event of breakdowns and scheduled maintenance by using effective shift planning techniques.

Proactive role in setting and maintaining a high safety standard;
Minimum of 3 years OTR tyre fitting experience in the mining industry;
RIISAM210A remove and fit wheel assemblies or equivalent;
RIISAM211B Remove, repair and fit tyres or equivalent;
RIIHAN201A Operate a forklift;
Cert 2 in Heavy Vehicle Tyre Fitting;
Experience in Tyre Maintenance Systems.
