Dysart Hospital is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (Grade 5) to join their team on contract. Nurses will work across a small rural hospital with a 24-hour emergency department, a 9-bed ward, and a steady flow of outpatients. Due to the rural setting, you may be the only RN on shift, requiring leadership and strong clinical decision-making. Nurses will work rotating 8- and 12-hour shifts, with a maximum of 80 hours per fortnight (overtime payable thereafter).Requirements
- Senior RN experience with ability to team lead and manage ward (may be sole RN on shift)
- Rural nursing and emergency experience essential
- Triage and resuscitation experience essential
- ALS, BLS, and ETEK mandatory
- Proficiency with ieMR (FirstNet, PowerChart, HBCIS) desirable - training available if not already completed
- Prior experience in QLD Health/Mackay HHS highly regarded
- Competency in patient handling, infection control, aggressive behaviour management, child protection reporting, and medication management (including QPHS regulations)
