- Lead and manage litigated and unlitigated employment law matters, including workplace investigations and dispute resolution.
- Provide expert advice on WHS and industrial relations issues, including regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.
- Represent clients in proceedings before the Fair Work Commission, WHS regulators, and other relevant tribunals and courts.
- Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, enterprise agreements, workplace policies, and procedural documents.
- Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and legal support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
- Conduct complex legal research and provide strategic analysis on employment and WHS legislation, case law, and emerging trends.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication, trusted advisory, and value-added service.
- Contribute to business development through client presentations, publications, and participation in industry events.
- Ensure compliance with firm policies, confidentiality obligations, and professional standards.
- Admission to practice law in Australia.
- Minimum 5 years’ post-admission experience in employment law, with demonstrated expertise in workplace safety and industrial relations.
- Proven experience managing complex legal matters and client relationships independently.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and document management systems (e.g., iManage)
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- Commercial acumen and a client-focused mindset.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
