An academic appointment at The University of Melbourne's Rural Health Academic Centre is available to suitably qualified appointees.

You will be expected to take part in the rostered clinical care of inpatients and conduct outpatient clinics and the outpatient respiratory function testing service.The successful candidate will participate in the Medical Unit inpatient roster which includes providing ward rounds, on -call service, bronchoscopy roster, and other interventional procedures as indicated for clinical care. We are in the process of developing the model of care for our onsite Respiratory Function Laboratory testing service and this role will be pivotal in the way forward to bring on this vital service for patients in the region.This is an exciting role that will suit a specialist who is looking for an exciting opportunity to build the future respiratory service for patients.The Location:
This is a rapidly growing regional city with a population of approximately 60,000 and a referral catchment of approximately 160,000.

Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
Full accreditation in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine with the Specialist Training Committee of the RACP
An academic research degree PhD or MD is desirable.
Experience in interventional pulmonology and non-invasive ventilation is desirable.
