- 4 shifts per month (Friday, weekend, and one weekday) – approx. 16–20 hours per month
- Hourly pay rate + superannuation

This position plays a key role in supporting recreational fishing research and data collection in Queensland.
- Visit local boat ramps in the Seaforth area
- Interview recreational fishers using a set survey script
- Identify, count, and measure fish species
- Record and submit accurate data promptly
- Provide information and answer questions from the public using supplied resources
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate attention to detail for accurate data collection
- Bring basic knowledge of fishing and fish species (preferred but not essential)
- Have full working rights in Australia
- Have access to reliable transport to attend boat ramps
- Demonstrate a positive attitude towards safety and its importance in every role
- Work outdoors in a flexible, part-time role
- Contribute to meaningful government research that supports sustainable fishing
