We are in the process of purchasing new library shelving and completing a comprehensive library refit.As part of this exciting project, we will also be generifying our library collection and moving towards a more user-friendly, genre-based layout to enhance accessibility and discoverability for our students.The successful applicant will ideally develop and support the day-to-day operations of the library and provision of reference, information and associated services to teaching staff and students. They would administer library systems which ensure library records and other school stock are up to date, maintained and processed so they are always accessible and available to students and staff. The successful applicant should ideally conduct library skills training and demonstrate the use of library systems and equipment.Working collaboratively with staff and responding to the cultures and interests of students, the successful applicant would ideally prepare stimulating and topical library displays, connect purchasing with curriculum initiatives and engage the community in school-based literacy events.
