Closing Date: 11:30pm, Thursday 18th September 2025About the OpportunityQuality Project Officer ensures scientific integrity at FSSA through quality practices, method validation and risk management. This role is focused primarily on ensuring that scientific services are appropriately validated and comply with all quality assurance and control practices at FSSA, across a diverse range of forensic disciplines which utilize unique and specialist skills and techniquesAbout the BusinessForensic Science SA (FSSA) provides a comprehensive, coordinated range of services to agencies associated with the justice system including the State Coroner, South Australia Police (SAPOL), the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) and defence and civil litigants.We are part of the Attorney General’s Department and the Director, FSSA reports to the Executive Director, Finance, People & Performance.Within FSSA there are four scientific/medico-legal operational areas: Pathology, Chemistry, Biology and Toxicology, each analysing materials using a diverse range of scientific equipment and processes.The operational areas are supported by Administration, Information Technology and Projects, Science Support and Quality, who each provide underpinning services in support of the operational areas.For more information about the Attorney-General’s Department and also Forensic Science SA, please visit andSpecial Conditions for EmploymentEmployment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory.
