Rate: Competitive hourly rate.We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive WHS Administrator to join our Waste Depot operations on a part-time basis (up to 3 days per week). In this key support role, you'll ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations through the administration and coordination of Work Health and Safety (WHS) systems and practices.Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update WHS records, registers, and documentation including incident logs, SDS, and safety audits.
- Coordinate depot inspections, site walk-throughs, signage updates, and staff inductions.
- Assist with reporting, investigation, and follow-up of incidents, injuries, and near-misses.
- Escalate high-risk safety concerns to management promptly.
- Schedule, coordinate, and record mandatory and role-specific WHS training for depot staff and contractors.
- Support the delivery of toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Schedule and manage training records, licences, and certifications for depot personnel and contractors.
- Review contractor WHS documentation and ensure induction compliance prior to site access.
- Assist with internal audits, safety procedure reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential: * Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or currently undertaking).
- Sound knowledge of WHS legislation and Codes of Practice.
- Previous WHS administration/support experience in depot, construction, logistics, or similar operational settings.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational, and record-keeping skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and WHS software platforms.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of risk management and safety auditing methodologies.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
