
Transport Manager

- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team, including direct reports and a large subcontractor base
- Manage labour planning, wage control, and resource allocation to meet operational and financial targets
- Take ownership of site-level P&L performance, ensuring cost-effective service delivery and alignment to budget
- Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility, NHVL, and all site-based safety policies through accurate reporting, audits, and risk management
- Drive continuous improvement by developing and implementing systems, processes, and policies that enhance operational efficiency and service outcomes
- Partner closely with internal and external stakeholders to meet contractual KPIs and maintain strong customer relationships
- Experience managing people, medium to large teams (30+) and subcontractor networks
- Proven experience in transport management, ideally with exposure to industrial/unionised sites
- Strong understanding of P&L responsibility, cost control, and commercial decision-making
- Strong financial acumen, with a history of managing budgets, controlling wages, and driving profitable operations
