With this in mind, if you feel that you may not tick all of the boxes below but believe you have something unique to contribute to our team, we strongly encourage you to apply - let's have the conversation.We are now seeking an Electrical Leading Hand to join our Maintenance team at our Sunrise Dam Gold Mine.Accountable to the Supervisor: Electrical Maintenance, this role is responsible for carrying out maintenance tasks and improvements to facilitate the continuous operation of a Mineral Processing Plant and support services.This role is based at the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine on an 8/6 FIFO roster, we operate direct flights to our sites from Perth and Kalgoorlie.Accountabilities:
  • Maintaining all electrical aspects relating to crushers, conveyor systems, pumps, ball mills, concentrators, vibrating screens & feeders, cranes & hoists, cyclones and all associated wiring, and being familiar with PLC's and instrumentation functionality.
  • Assist with the management of work plans on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Carry out installation of new equipment or modifications to existing equipment
  • Availability after hours on a “Call Out” roster basis to respond to any equipment breakdown
  • To liaise closely with metallurgical, processing and maintenance personnel on safety, plant performance and technical issues with the aim of optimising plant performance.
  • Assist with shutdown co-ordination and execution
  • Performs relief duties for the Electrical Supervisor

  • Hold a WA "A" Grade Electrical Workers License (Cert IV in Instrumentation is desirable but not essential);
  • Proven experience in a fixed plant environment
  • High exposure to instrumentation breakdowns and repairs
  • PLC fault finding and diagnostics (prior experience with Allen Bradley preferred)
  • Interpretation of electrical schematics
  • Current high voltage switching certificate
  • Previous new installation and testing experience
  • Computer literacy
  • Current elevated work platform and working at heights
  • Current WA “C” Grade Drivers Licence
  • Have existing and ongoing permanent working rights in
  • Ability to attain a new National Police Clearance
