Director Quality Improvement and Clinical RiskPermanent Full Time positionCabrini MalvernCabrini offers:Access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 tax free each year, plus $2,650 meal & entertainment benefitsLocated close to public transport and cafés/shopping precinctsMyki Commuter discounted public transportation faresAccess to discounted private health insurance and gym membershipsExcellent opportunities for professional developmentHow you will make an impactIn this newly created position, the Director of Quality Improvement and Clinical Risk will play a key role in achieving Cabrini’s commitment to providing exceptional patient and family experiences.The Director of Quality Improvement and Clinical Risk will support staff in the pursuit of high-quality care delivery through the development and implementation of the quality improvement framework and clinical risk management program across Cabrini.Reporting to the Director of Nursing and Clinical Education, the role will lead and manage the Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Team within the Clinical Governance Unit, and has responsibilities spanning quality improvement processes and systems, risk management systems and culture, and medico legal matters.Key responsibilities will include:Define and drive the quality improvement systems and processes at Cabrini Health.Lead the processes that govern clinical data collection and analysis within the Cabrini Health reporting and committee structure.Manage the annual review of the Clinical Governance Framework to ensure relevance and reflection of the National Quality and Safety standards.Manage the ACHS National Standards program, supporting ongoing development and implementation.Lead and review the Patient Experience Strategy.Co-ordinate external insurance brokers, insurers and legal advisors regarding claim managements.Collaborate with relevant internal stakeholders to ensure robust processes are in place to identify, document, report on and follow-up clinical incidents.Oversee the mortality review process including ensuring the cases reported to Victorian Audit of Surgical Mortality (VASM) are reviewed internally.About youCrucial to your success in this role will be in your ability to lead a team, collaborate with senior stakeholders and positively influence a culture of continuous improvement in safety and quality across all clinical services.You will also have:Undergraduate and post graduate qualifications in a health or related discipline.Current health practitioner registration.Experience successfully developing and implementing quality improvement and clinical risk management systems and processes.Proficiency in clinical information systems and information management systems.Sound knowledge of the principles of quality and clinical risk management, health law, evidence-based practice and systems improvement.Professional interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and negotiate at senior levels.Experience in change management, service development, implementation, and evaluation.Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage and deliver a range of complex tasks.Experience with the RiskMan™ Incident management system and proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook, including document and presentation preparation.To view the full position description clickEnquiries should be directed to: Megan Mills, Director of Nursing and Clinical Education - 03 9508 1532Does this sound like your new role?
