This 180-bed major acute specialist hospital services a population of 100,000. In addition to a wide range of specialist services, the hospital has a 4-bed ICU and 6-bed Cardiac Care Unit, with an adjacent 6-bed High Dependency Unit. There is an Emergency Department that sees 25,000 presentations per year, and medical, surgical and children's wards. The hospital is a teaching hospital for the Joint Medical Program.The birthing suite delivers 700 babies annually and there is a special care nursery. The outpatient clinic provides ANC, Gynaecology, high-risk obstetric and colposcopy services. Surgical services include minimally invasive, open and laparoscopic surgery.The Job
- As a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, you will provide obstetrics and gynaecology inpatient and outpatient services, as well as participate in the on-call roster
- You will join a great team of committed and supportive O&G and Anaesthetic colleagues plus there is JMO support
- You will have the opportunity to share your knowledge and skills through educating and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate medical students
- A Visiting Medical Officer or Staff Specialist appointment will be considered
- Appointment as a Conjoint Academic is encouraged
