The Equity, Safety & Wellbeing Services is seeking a dynamic Client Services Assistant who is highly motivated, enthusiastic, and passionate about supporting people. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in helping our students, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to excel throughout their academic endeavours.Client Services Representatives, serve as the initial point of contact for our Student Wellbeing Service, which includes the Counselling, Welfare, and Disability teams. This Fixed Term position involves promptly addressing enquiries ensuring each interaction reflects our commitment to excellence and support.This is a full-time, fixed-term position until 31st August 2024 based at Western’s Kingswood Campus, although travel to other campuses of the University may be required. Please review the position description for further information.Key Responsibilities
The Client Services Assistant will be responsible for:
- Responding to requests from students and staff regarding support services offered by the WSU Student Wellbeing Service, including the Counselling, Disability, and Welfare teams.
- Providing frontline support by managing reception services, scheduling appointments, disseminating general information about available services, addressing complex enquiries, and facilitating referrals to the appropriate teams within the Student Wellbeing Service.
- Demonstrating empathy and discretion in assisting students from diverse backgrounds and handling confidential information with professionalism and care.
