We believe that our commitment to providing high quality care can make a real difference to the lives of our consumers and their families.We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Policy Officer to join our growing team on a full-time basis, based at our corporate office in West Perth. This dynamic role will play a critical part in liaising with key stakeholders to implement policies that support the strengthening aged care quality standards.About the roleThe role will support our operations across Aged Care, National Disability Insurance Scheme, Supported Independent Living and Corporate Operations. You will be working in a small, dedicated team with a particular focus on the new Aged Care Act and Quality Standards coming into effect from November 1st. Some key responsibilities include:
  • Developing and maintaining a review schedule for policies, procedures and guidelines;
  • Supporting the Director of the National Office of Quality, Safety and Compliance in managing the corporate and clinical policies and procedures system;
  • Document management of the organisation’s suite of policies, procedures, guidelines and forms including maintenance of the policies and procedures system;
  • Drafting, reviewing and editing policies, procedures and guidelines from all areas of the business, including clinical care, human resources, finance and operations;
  • Liaising with key stakeholders to ensure that policies, procedures and guidelines meet compliance, clinical and operational needs.
What you’ll bring
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree of experience in a relevant field (public policy, public health or similar)
  • Highly developed communication and writing skills
  • Knowledge of the aged care sector will be a massive bonus
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Demonstrated IT skills including document management
  • Good multitasking & time management skills
  • National Police Certificate
  • Full Working Rights in Australia
