Every day, 80,000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.Your future roleWe have an exciting opportunity available for a Testing & Commissioning Engineer to join our team responsible for the delivery of the High Capacity Signalling (HCS) project in Perth, Western Australia. In this role you will primarily be based at our Perth CBD project office, but be required to work across the network for testing and commissioning activities.We’ll look to you for:
  • Preparing, leading and executing site testing activities.
  • Ensuring timely collection of test evidence all along project life together with reporting of system configuration during the successive test phases.
  • Ensuring defects identification and correction (trouble shooting).
  • Ensuring a return experience (REX) towards the project, and ensure that all design related issues are correctly reported in the adequate tools.
  • Follow-up of detected issues and deliver the commissioning reports.
  • Checking that the test tools are in perfect working order and calibrated.
  • Supporting V&V team and perform test in lab as per request.
  • Delivering the committed performance in terms of Quality, Costs and Deadlines and in compliance with Alstom policies, local standards and regulations (in particular EHS and Railway Safety).

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive and agile approach, with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Experience in Rail Signalling, ideally within testing and commissioning.
  • Australian recognized tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (Electrical, Electronic, Systems or similar).
  • The ability work night shift for testing activities.
  • A full Australian drivers licence (preferred).
