The Compliance Specialist is responsible for assisting the National Compliance Operations Manager and broader business in maintaining and enhancing ALH's compliance frameworks, systems and processes to deliver the Endeavour Group value of Compliance at our Core/We are Responsible.Reporting to the National Compliance Operations Manager and working closely with key stakeholders across the business, this role provides compliance support to the business across critical areas including but not limited to AML/CTF, responsible gaming, gaming, liquor and food safety.This position plays a critical role in education and compliance with ALH policies, procedures and key agreements and will partner with in-venue teams for compliance related matters.Sound good? Read on.Here's a taste of what you can expect in the role:
  • Key support for our venue operations team through compliance education and guidance
  • Assist ALH operations in identifying common compliance issues across venues and implement remediation action plans to address
  • Assist with the review and maintenance of compliance-related materials at an operational level including SOPs, training material and communications with focus on simplification, accuracy and ensuring they are current and fit-for-purpose
  • Assisting with change management and ensuring that all compliance related change is measured, complete and educated across ALH
  • Oversee and manage compliance controls development, testing and reporting
  • Assist as needed in investigations relating to loss prevention and identify potential process or procedure limitations that may contribute to incidents
  • Remain abreast of emerging risks, regulatory change, business environment and assist in business planning to support venue teams
  • Utilise existing data to contribute to the composition of the Annual Compliance plan with focus on key compliance risks Provide input and feedback for continual improvement of compliance processes
  • Liaising with Internal Auditors and providing requested documentation
Now let's talk about you:
  • Experience in a compliance function role within retail, gaming/wagering; or significant operational experience within the regulated hotels environment with demonstrated compliance knowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to continuously explore new ways to understand and deliver on changing customer needs.
  • An understanding of controls including their design, identification and assessment
  • Strong initiative, time management and exceptional communication skills.
  • Strong Team Player who can help to support coach and mentor other team members.
  • Requires a current drivers licence.
  • Regular travel across QLD & NT is a requirement of this role.
