- Leading strategic sourcing and contracting efforts, including tenders, eAuctions, and commercial negotiations for contracts.
- Collaborating with senior stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver tailored procurement solutions.
- Analysing market intelligence and supplier capabilities to inform decisions and mitigate commercial risk.
- Managing supplier relationships to ensure performance outcomes, resolve disputes, and drive continuous improvement.
- Championing local sourcing opportunities and strengthen community supplier engagement.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal policies while protecting Alcoa’s commercial interests.
- Partnering cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Maintenance, HR, IT, and Finance to align procurement with business goals.
- Supporting global initiatives by promoting and integrating Global Procurement programs at the site level.

- A tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business or related field of study.
- Background in a procurement role, with proven ability to develop procurement strategies and negotiate complex contract terms and conditions.
- Skilled in building and sustaining strong business relationships, with excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong analytical thinking, influencing capabilities, and a talent for troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.
- Exceptional time management and multitasking abilities, backed by sound business knowledge in manufacturing and a deep understanding of commercial dynamics in customer-supplier relationships.
