Randstad has been given the opportunity to recruit a Bakery Production Manager position with one of our popular food manufacturing clients. Located in the South Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne, paying upwards of $90K - $110K + super depending on experience.You’ll be joining a national business with over 20 years of expertise in producing delicious and high quality cookies, biscuits, food and snacks. As a Bakery Production Manager, you are proactive and hands-on with a passion for ensuring the bakery operates seamlessly. You will collaborate closely with the dedicated bakery team and provide crucial support to the Production Director, working in an environment that's committed to quality and innovation. You will be a part of an organisation that values and respects you and your effort.Key Responsibilities:
  • Effectively manage all facets of the bakery floor, ensuring smooth operations and top-notch quality.
  • Ensure that employees are well-resourced and effectively completing their assigned tasks, such as line clearances, assembly orders, metal detector checks, ingredients traceable etc
  • Allocate daily tasks in alignment with production schedules and employee rosters, fostering a well-organised and efficient workflow.
  • Ensuring rosters are completed weekly, every Thursday for the following week
  • Coordinate training initiatives alongside the Compliance Manager, ensuring all employees are well-versed in allergens and company values.
  • Oversee compliance with company procedures, particularly related to Food Safety, to uphold the highest standards.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews for direct reports, promoting growth and development within the team.
  • Maintain meticulous records for production and traceability throughout the facility, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
About you:
  • Relevant qualifications and experience in Bakery Production Management.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively lead and collaborate with the team.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, prioritise work effectively and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the ever-changing needs of the organisation and evolving priorities of the role.
  • Strong planning abilities to organise work for yourself and the executive team in a dynamic, multitasking environment.
