It is critical that applicants are familiar with the nature and complexities of the legal system. A law degree and/or experience at a senior level in a court or tribunal is highly desirable.About the BusinessThe South Australian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (SACAT) is seeking applicants for the role of Deputy Registrar. This is a senior leadership role assisting the Registrar in the management of the Tribunal and exercising statutory functions as required.SACAT is a state tribunal that helps people in South Australia to resolve matters within civil and administrative law, either through agreement at a conference or mediation, or through a decision at a hearing. SACAT also conducts reviews of certain State Government department decisions.The Tribunal deals with cases in a range of jurisdictions, such as residential tenancies, mental health, guardianship and administration, professional disciplinary reviews and a wide range of administrative decisions made by government departments.
