- Lead the delivery of the organisation’s Tourism Strategy and Trails Master Plan .
- Drive innovative tourism projects and place-based experiences that reflect the character and aspirations of the region.
- Build strong relationships with community members, tourism operators, local businesses, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate across internal teams and provide strategic advice to executive leadership.
- Identify and secure partnerships to support and deliver on tourism and economic development objectives.
- Prepare, deliver and report on action-oriented strategies and plans that align with corporate, state and national priorities.
- Oversee procurement, contract and project management activities aligned with tourism initiatives.
You are a creative, strategic thinker with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and translate bold ideas into tangible outcomes. You’re a connector, a communicator, and a doer.
You’ll bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Tourism Management , Marketing , Communications , Economic Development , Project Management or similar.
- Substantial experience in destination marketing , tourism development , economic development , or project management .
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement , consultation and facilitation across diverse communities and sectors.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to assess economic, social and market trends.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including report writing and presentation delivery.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- A current C Class Driver’s Licence and the ability to obtain a National Police Clearance.
Experience working within Local or State Government environments will be highly regarded!!Why Join?
