About the RoleAs a Mechanical Tradesperson, you will play a key role in:Maintaining and repairing a variety of plant equipment to ensure peak performance and reliability.Diagnosing faults, conducting breakdown repairs, and supporting planned maintenance activities.Working collaboratively with electrical tradespeople, non-trades staff, and other team members.Identifying continuous improvement opportunities and supporting minor capital projects.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative and reactive maintenance across plant systems and machinery.Adhere to all workplace health and safety regulations and company policies.Support production goals by minimising equipment downtime.Contribute to root cause analysis (RCA) and implement effective solutions.Liaise with the Maintenance Supervisor and other departments to prioritise and schedule work.Maintain documentation and records using maintenance management systems (e.g., SAP).Provide technical support and mentoring to other maintenance staff.Participate in small project work and equipment improvement initiatives.What You'll BringA recognised mechanical trade qualification with post-trade experience.Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting—preferably food production.Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.Familiarity with maintenance planning and work scheduling procedures.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Working knowledge of WHS legislation and best practices.Basic computer literacy.Why Join Us?Be part of a leading food manufacturing organisation.Work in a collaborative team with strong technical support and ongoing training.Opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement and capital projects.Competitive pay and conditions with career progression potential.
