Maximising project profitability and ensure client satisfaction. The position will focus on ensuring the services provided meet quality and value for money expectations of clients.Responsibilities:
Will be working within the Estimating cell undertaking scoping, tendering and quoting tasks.
Producing high quality tender and quotation documentation for building projects, ensuring compliance with industry best practice, departmental standards and client requirements.
Utilising estimating computer packages to ensure consistency and best practice in the provision of client quotations.
Assessing and preparing accurate and timely estimates, quotations and project trade packages; including material lists and construction programs.
Assisting in the development and research of estimating, costing, contract administration and contract cost management practices.
Working effectively with clients, suppliers and subcontractors to maximise service delivery, achieve business costs savings and satisfy client requirements.
Skills and Qualifications:
Construction industry related trade qualification (highly desirable)
Current Workplace Health & Safety General Safety Induction Card
A high level of interpersonal communication skills and a commitment to confidentiality is essential to succeed in the position.
Current Open QLD Driver’s Licence.
Ability to pass a police check.
Applicants should have an above average level of computer literacy, communication skills and a background in building construction and maintenance.
Proven ability to apply best estimating practices, to interpret, plan and prepare accurate building estimates.
Working knowledge of contemporary estimating methods used in the building, construction and maintenance industry, including associated legislative and regulatory requirements.
Thorough knowledge of building construction and maintenance legislative and regulatory requirements, principles and practices and contract procedures.
