- Maintaining a safe working environment.
- Performing manual handling tasks and working with mobile plant.
- Carrying out work on bridges, culverts, roads, and underground utilities.
- Placing and finishing concrete, asphalt, and bituminous materials.
- Setting up formwork, steel fixing, and installing road and bridge furniture.
- Completing set out, line marking, and related civil construction tasks.
- Operating equipment and machinery per Council requirements.
- Ensuring worksite compliance with Work Health and Safety standards.
- An unrestricted Class C Driver’s Licence.
- A Construction Industry General Safety Induction Card (White Card).
- Ability to obtain a “Working at Heights” Certificate and complete “Working in Proximity to Traffic” training before commencement.
- Demonstrated experience in Roads, Drainage and Bridge construction and maintenance, e.g. placing and finishing concrete, sprayed bituminous and asphalt work, timber carpentry road furniture and line marking.
- Physical fitness and capability to undertake manual labouring tasks.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Class MR or HR Driver’s Licence
- Traffic Controller Accreditation and experience in traffic control and signage set-out
- A cover letter addressing the “About You” section (max. 2 pages).
