- Providing excellent, person-centred resident care in relation to specialised nursing needs (i.e. management of diabetes, wounds, infections, pain and medications)
- Maintaining documentation; completing resident assessments, incident investigation and related care documents in accordance with policies and procedures and meeting accreditation standards
- Overseeing the administration of day-to-day tasks as relates to the provision of clinical care to achieve the best resident outcomes
- Undertaking clinical monitoring of residents and escalating changes as required
- Providing other employees on shift with clear direction and guidance
- A current AHPRA registration and Registered Nurse (Division 1) qualification
- A collaborative approach and high level of accountability
- An understanding of the aged care legislative framework and requirements, including safe medication administration
- A friendly and positive attitude and the ability to demonstrate client-focused behaviour
- The ability to show empathy and treat others with dignity and respect
