We are a trusted resource supplier for several large companies working on NBN and Wireless networks, creating opportunities for thousands of individuals and subcontractors.Rubix is URGENTLY seeking skilled Telecommunication Riggers and Wireless Technicians to join our leading clients with multiple major projects. These projects involve working with various carriers across mobile and broadcast initiatives throughout Australia!Telecommunication Rigger Responsibilities:

Upgrading and modifying existing wireless telecommunications sites, including mobile and broadcast systems.
Performing work at heights and installing mobile/broadcast antenna systems, Remote Radio Units (RRUs), feeders, and Microwave Links.
Installing and erecting steelwork, monopoles, towers, etc., as required.
Conducting PIM testing, sweep testing, distance to fault analysis, terminating feeders, bird-proofing, and waterproofing connectors.
Installing and maintaining antenna and feeder cables on monopoles and towers.
Checking, maintaining, and operating equipment in compliance with safety, efficiency, and calibration procedures.
Undertaking rigging and general tasks as assigned by the company, including site constructibility inspections that may involve identifying gaps and scope changes.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a TELECOMMUNICATIONS rigger.
Possession of a current Certificate in Rigging (Basic minimum).
Familiarity with earthing requirements.
Working at heights certification and Tower Rescue certification, with the ability to comfortably operate at heights regularly (e.g., climbing up to 80 meters). Previous climbing experience is essential.
Solid knowledge of telecommunication rigging techniques and adherence to best practices.
RadHaz EME Awareness.
MR or HR License preferred.

Wireless Technician Responsibilities:

Understand scope on build drawings and site survey findings.
Install and maintain WCDMA/LTE/4G/5G/NBN technologies.
Install radio base stations, terminating Hybriflex Cables and Coaxial feeder cables/tails, earthing, cable trays, diplexers, combiners.
Upgrade or install DC power rack systems including rectifiers, batteries and load testing. Ability to configure and capture status for HOP's.
Commissioning and integration of RBS/BTS into network
Conduct PIM, VSWR and sweep and fibre testing.
Troubleshoot, replace defective equipment and monitor site performance.
Install and commission microwave indoor and outdoor units.
Software installation, testing and commissioning of sites
Build and maintain collaborative business relationships with client support personnel.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with team and business staff.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a fixed-wireless technician/rigger.
Valid Driver's License.
ACMA License (Open Cabling Ticket), Current First Aid, and CPR Certificates.
Construction White Card, RF/EME Awareness, Working at Heights knowledge.
Experience in wireless telecommunications.
Strong computer and communication skills.
Understanding of quality control, HSE practices, SWMS, JHA's, and MOP's.
Certificate in Telecommunications.
Willing to relocate to Australia
