- Implement comprehensive HSEQ management systems and procedures and ensure that all project activities comply with relevant regulations, standards and client requirements.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments for project activities, identify mitigation measures to minimise risks and provide guidance and support to project teams in implementing risk controls and safety measures.
- Investigate project incidents, accidents and hazards / near misses to determine causes and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, specifications, and safety standards.
- Deliver HSEQ training programs for project personnel, subcontractors and other stakeholders, including site inductions.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permit requirements throughout the project lifecycle and implement measures to minimise project environmental impacts.
- Establish quality assurance and control procedures to ensure project deliverables meet specified requirements and standards.
- Conduct inspections and audits to verify the quality of workmanship and materials and facilitate the resolution of quality and non-conformance issues.
- Strong understanding of relevant regulations and best practices, as well as the ability to implement effective HSEQ management systems.
- Strong knowledge of relevant health, safety, environmental regulations and quality standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Proven project management expertise within the construction, engineering, or transportation industries.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field; alternatively, completion of equivalent HSEQ courses.
- Relevant hands-on experience in a construction company.
