Committed to enhancing the lives of Tasmanians, they specialise in delivering safe, reliable, and sustainable energy solutions.As a leading electricity transmission and distribution network provider, they're dedicated to enriching communities through innovative power systems engineering.About the OpportunityYou will provide technical guidance and direction for a variety of planning activities and engineering support and analysis to meet regulatory and customer requirementsAs a Senior or Principal Power Systems Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of Tasmania's energy network.Your responsibilities include identifying and advising stakeholders on potential issues affecting network reliability, drawing upon your extensive knowledge and experience in power systems.Providing technical guidance for planning activities and engineering support, you'll ensure compliance with regulatory standards and customer requirements.About you
In the role of Senior or Principal Power Systems Engineer, you'll bring a wealth of experience in system planning within the Electricity Supply Industry, coupled with a Bachelor of Engineering qualification.Your expertise shows a deep understanding of power system components such as generation, transmission, and distribution.Being proficient in software packages like PSSE & PSCAD to provide system designs, in addition with having exceptional communication skills allow you to convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders effectively.To be considered for the role you must;
- Have Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 7+ years (Senior) or 15+ years (Principal) experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in power system simulation software, including PSSE & PSCAD
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong understanding of power system components and planning processes
