Reasonable work experience in the field required, preferably 2-years work experience
Be under an Australian Massage Association
Hold both Bupa and Medibank provider numbers
Be enrolled with all Australian Health Funds
Maintain professional indemnity insurance with appropriate level of coverage for Remedial Massage Providers.
Diploma of Remedial Massage.
Have the right to work in Australia.
Maintain current First Aid Certificate.
Have an Australian drive license.
Own transport that fits a massage table - when necessary we provide a treatment at clients home.
Availability to work on the weekends.
Assess clients' physical condition and take case history, plus advising on stretching exercises and relaxation techniques when appropriated.
Provide massage therapy of the soft tissues of the body, such as muscles, tendons and ligaments to assist healing.
Utilising a range of massage techniques to enhance sports performance and prevent injury.
Administering massage treatments to promote relaxation, improve circulation and relieve muscle tension assessing and treating specific soft tissue dysfunction and providing rehabilitation.
Record Treatment notes for every session on Practice Management software.
Follow clinic policies and procedures.
Be professional and respect ethic within workplace.
Work within scope of practice.
A strong exercise and manual therapy background.
Be able to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Positive person with incredible communication skills.
