- Read drawings, work orders and production schedules to understand job tasks.
- Demonstrate the safe use of all tools and equipment associated with welding.
- Operate manual or semi-automated welding equipment to conduct the following weld processes.
- Stick Welding (Shielded Metal Arc Welding or SMAW)
- MIG Welding (Gas Metal Arc Welding or GMAW)
- Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)TIG Welding (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding or GTAW)
- Keep documentation and records accurate and up to date.
- Preparation of items to be welded.
- Welding of risers, process piping spools and structural sections using qualified welding procedures.
- Construction White/Blue Card
- Current Australian āCā Class Driver's Licence
- Trade Cert
- Ability to pass a 6G weld test to AS/NZS 4041
- Apply First Aid
- High Risk Work Licence - Forklift (Desired)
- High Risk Work Licence - EWP (Desired)

- Select, clean and prepare metal stock for fabrication.
- Fit and assemble metal components by welding, brazing, soldering or bolting.
- Demonstrate the safe use of all tools and equipment associated with fabrication and welding.
- Operate manual or semi-automated welding equipment to conduct the following weld processes.
- Stick Welding (Shielded Metal Arc Welding or SMAW)
- MIG Welding (Gas Metal Arc Welding or GMAW)
- Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)
- TIG Welding (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding or GTAW)
- Keep documentation and records accurate and up to date.
- Undertake problem solving / troubleshooting within scope of work as required
- Execute work in accordance with applicable standards and procedures and in adherence to work instructions and drawings as defined in work packs or supervisor instructions.
- Execute work in line with Management System requirements.
- Any other duties deemed within the employee's ability or experience
- Construction White/Blue Card
- Current Australian āCā Class Driver's Licence
- Trade Cert
- Ability to pass a 3G/4G plate test to AS 2980
