ABOUT THE ROLEThis role is a permanent position on a 7:7 day/night roster, FIFO from Darwin or Cairns.As the Emergency Services Supervisor, you will lead emergency response, security & community safety across the operation and into the community. You will ensure your ESO team is prepared to deliver injury triage and actively support improved health and safety outcomes.Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:
  • Effective command and control during emergencies
  • Provide technical expertise to operations and functions to support safe execution of emergency management and response work
  • Ensure the site is well equipped to address emergency response and security matters from an equipment and resourcing perspective
  • Work with the GEMCO appointed private security firm to ensure effective security response
ABOUT YOUYou will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
  • Previous experience working in a similar role within Mining or Heavy industry highly regarded
  • Australian Driver's Licence (Manual, HR Open)
Qualifications for this position are:
  • Advanced Diploma in Public Safety - Emergency Management or similar
  • Certificate IV in Emergency Medical Response
  • Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response & Rescue
  • Mine Site Safety Supervisor (S1, S2, S3) training course
