The incumbent in this position is accountable for the operational management of the Macquarie Hospital after hours.The roles and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:
- Access and patient flow management
- Management of staffing resources
- Oversight of clinical management issues
- Management of incidents and complaints
- Liaison and co-operation with the After Hours Nurse Managers - across Mental Health Drug and Alcohol Services
- Liaison and co-operation with Macquarie Hospital Executive on Call
- Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA).
- Extensive post-graduate experience in the management of and leadership in mental health clinical service delivery.
- Relevant post-graduate management qualification, working towards same or extensive equivalent professional experience.
- Proven commitment to the principles and practices of consumer collaboration and working in a Multidisciplinary Teams that promote a recovery framework.
