Could that person be you?Join us as Head Chef at our Residential Aged Care Facility in Grange, and be part of something bigger.What you'll doAn excellent opportunity has arisen for a Head Chef to lead our team in providing an exceptional level of catering to our residents. You will be responsible for leading all operations of the Food and Kitchen department with emphasis on quality, efficiency and profitability.. Calling upon your experience in a high quality kitchen environment, you will make a difference in the lives of our residents by preparing, cooking and serving nourishing and attractive in-house meals to create a memorable dining experience.
  • Deliver high-quality facility based catering in accordance with menus and agreed standards
  • Provide effective leadership to achieve high standards of customer service
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef and play a key part in implementing a whole new dining experience
  • Maintain rigorous food safety monitoring and recording practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Provide direction, training and support to all catering employee's
  • Showcase your culinary expertise
  • Lead and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high standards.
  • Ensure consistency and excellence in food preparation.
  • Oversee ordering, inventory, and kitchen cleanliness.
  • Meet the needs of our residents and cater for events and special occasions, as required
  • Be responsible for the site kitchen and ensure smooth operations at all times
What you'll bring
  • Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef in an aged care setting.
  • Proficiency in menu planning, culinary techniques, and kitchen management.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire a kitchen team.
  • A passion for delivering high-quality, innovative cuisine.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to manage kitchen staff effectively
