In short, our approach is to support a person in the way that most helps them transform their life, in pursuit of our belief that work’s for everyone.You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident at the time of submitting your application to be considered for this role.Job DescriptionThe Position:This is an on-site positionPsychologists have a diverse and role, offering opportunity to assist job seekers who have complex barriers to employment by conducting assessments, undertaking a variety of therapeutic interventions, facilitating groups, and, providing recommendations to appropriate vocational and non-vocational services.Key duties of the role will include:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of candidates with a range of disability and barriers to employment;
  • Offer counselling intervention as needed, utilising various psychological methodologies;
  • Refer candidates to additional external support services to help address barriers;
  • Provide evaluations on assessments and monitor the progression of cases;
  • Liaise with medical professionals and community agencies on behalf of candidates; and
  • Provide training and guidance to atWork staff on psychological services and procedures.
QualificationsWhat you need:Your proven ability to achieve and exceed performance indicators will be complemented by your:
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Psychology with eligibility for registration with APHRA
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualifications in Counselling, or eligibility to gain, membership with ACA / PACFA
  • Experience working within employment services highly regarded but not essential;
  • Knowledge of psychology assessment / intervention strategies;
  • Exceptional communication, rapport building skills and engagement;
  • Proven ability to construct accurate and articulate case reports;
  • Ability to work towards generating positive outcomes for clients.
  • Ability to provide a Police Clearance (within 6 months) and Work with Children's Check
