Positioned on the doorstep of the beautiful Bunya Mountains, Dalby is a vibrant, friendly town where you can have it all!About The OpportunityThis is an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a busy manufacturing workshop.Reporting to the General Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:
  • Designing and engineering innovative machinery and improving existing product lines
  • Creating detailed designs and manufacturing drawings using CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Collaborating closely with production staff, the sales office, and senior management
  • Contributing to ongoing product development and innovation
About YouThe ideal candidate will possess the following essential attributes:
  • Proven experience in CAD drafting (SolidWorks preferred) in a commercial setting
  • Background in mechanical design and engineering
  • A strong understanding of engineering principles and practical application
  • Strong mechanical competence and practical ability
  • Self-motivated with excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and communicate effectively
You will also have:
  • Experience in designing and manufacturing conveyors or bulk handling equipment (desirable)
  • Mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience (desirable)
  • Production knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes (desirable)
