A great opportunity now exists for experienced Manufacturing Operators working rotating shifts, day, afternoon and night shift.About the Role:Primarily this position is responsible for carrying out manufacturing functions in a safe manner within an extrusion facility, ensuring quality control measures are achieved.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate equipment and perform tasks in line with site Work Instructions / Safe Operating Procedures
Ensure product quality and packaging standards are maintained and comply with delivery targets
Participate in training to become a multi-skilled team member
Communicate and endorse safety practices, monitor key safety performance indicators and visibly participate in promoting safety policies and initiatives
Take full accountability for personal safety and well-being, develop an understanding of risk minimisation and be committed to achieving the highest possible standards for Safety, Health and the Environment (SH&E)

ESSENTIAL

Understanding of basic safety principles
Ability to work autonomously and maintain a high level of activity across all shifts
Demonstrated experience in working in a team environment
Basic understanding of quality principles

DESIRABLE

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with automated machinery
Ability to identify problems and resolve or contribute to resolution thereof
Forklift licence
Experience and knowledge of material handling
Basic computer literacy skills
