At Thomson Geer we are looking for candidates who are client focused, commercially minded, and who work well in a team environment.The role:We are currently looking for a Senior Associate to join our Construction & Infrastructure team in our Perth office. This role will see you working across risk based advice in construction procurement and contracts, to back-end construction litigation, arbitration and other forms of dispute resolution used in construction disputes. In this role you will be an integral part of an extremely busy but also close knit team working with an industry leading Partner.Your skills and experience:The ideal candidate will be looking for interesting, challenging work with significant client contact and responsibility. To be successful in this role, you will have the following attributes:
  • Have at least 5-7+ yearsu0027 PAE working across construction law matters or in a well-regarded litigation practice
  • Strong drafting skills and attention to detail
  • Practical and client focused problem solving and research skills
  • Sound technical legal ability and a genuine interest in working in the construction and infrastructure sector
  • A professional, commercially-astute and proactive approach to matter management
  • Ability to manage client expectations and run matters autonomously
  • Conscientious and client-focused, and possess strong interpersonal skills
