- Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Polyaire’s WHS Management System.
- Maintain accurate WHS records, including incidents, inspections, hazard logs, and corrective actions.
- Engage with managers, supervisors, and employees through WHS consultation mechanisms and coordinate WHS Committee functions.
- Promote a positive, proactive safety culture, providing practical WHS guidance and hands-on support across all sites.
- Contribute to the development and review of WHS policies and Safe Work Procedures.
- Assist in creating and monitoring WHS operational plans, ensuring progress against objectives and targets.
- Support WHS training programs, ensuring managers and employees receive clear, effective guidance.
- Conduct or assist with hazard identification, incident investigations, safety inspections, and risk assessments for plant, equipment, chemicals, and manual tasks.
- Support contractor management, ensuring inductions and compliance requirements are met.
- Provide timely WHS performance reports to the Senior WHS Business Partner and management teams.
- Assist with workplace drug and alcohol testing in line with company procedures.
- Support early intervention and recovery programs for injured workers and facilitate safe return-to-work outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and confidential injury management and RTW records.
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Health, Risk Management, or related discipline.
- Relevant WHS certification (e.g., Grad Dip WHS, or equivalent).
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in WHS roles, with exposure to multi-site or national operations.
- Demonstrated experience in WHS management systems, risk management, incident investigation, and compliance with Australian WHS legislation.
- Proven ability to provide practical WHS advice, lead safety initiatives, and influence workplace culture.
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, standards, and best practice.
- Ability to lead and support a “safety first” culture across multiple sites.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing at all levels of the organisation.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks and implement practical controls.
- Proficiency with WHS management systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
