- Build strong relationships with key customers in order to understand their needs and leverage Category Growth Drivers using best practice processes and tools to drive mutually beneficial margin and share aspirations.
- Lead the category review process for key customers, providing detailed category performance metrics, growth opportunities along with comprehensive range & space recommendations that deliver on these growth objectives.
- Provide robust business cases to quantify innovation plans in relevant categories for the AU market. Provide input into NPD process, assisting in setting of goals and objectives for new products and supporting go to market strategies.
- Align with the Account teams to support and help the quarterly planning process through the delivery of category insights.
- Champion the voice of the shopper by fully maximising the investment and ROI of our data investments in AU for the specified category. Work closely with the Shopper Marketing Manager ANZ to drive a strong trade marketing plan in key accounts.
- Model Price and Promotional optimisation opportunities specific to the category in the AU market, and monitor and provide recommendations to adjust /improve / leverage opportunities identified on a continuous cycle.
- Minimum of seven (7) years' experience in a FMCG category development team leadership position, with an understanding of the principles of Category Management and NRM.
- Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen.
- Ability to easily identify opportunities through analysis of shopper behaviour and have a solid understanding how to bring these to life by leveraging both instore and online category levers.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to sell and influence at all levels
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build lasting relationships.
- Formal tertiary qualifications in a business-related discipline.
