
Solutions Engineer

- Collaborate with Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) & Schools Engagement Managers to understand prospect needs and define solution strategy.
- Deliver tailored product demonstrations, technical deep dives, and proof-of-concept sessions to key stakeholders (e.g., school leadership, IT, administration).
- Provide consultative input on product configuration, implementation feasibility, and alignment to school-specific workflows.
- Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and security assessments with accuracy and confidence.
- Translate customer requirements into viable, scalable configurations of the Compass platform.
- Collaborate with Product and Implementation teams to ensure solution feasibility and accurate scoping.
- Build and maintain technical collateral (integration guides, demo environments, solution architecture diagrams) to support the sales cycle.
- Train and coach Sales colleagues on Compass platform capabilities, integration patterns, and value propositions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of sales playbooks, discovery frameworks, and objection-handling strategies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in Compass modules and underlying architecture.
- Capture insights from the field to influence product roadmap and customer experience improvements.
- Act as the voice of the customer internally, identifying opportunities for innovation or new product use cases.
- Ensure a smooth knowledge handover from Sales to Customer Success teams.
- Proven experience in a solutions engineering, pre-sales consulting, or technical sales role (ideally in SaaS, EdTech, or enterprise software).
- Strong technical fluency across software platforms, APIs, integrations, and data security concepts.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with an ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with the education sector, especially K-12 operations, is highly regarded.
